Doz. Mag. Dr. Dennis Linder, born 1955 in Milan, Italy, a citizen of Austria, obtained a degree in pure mathematics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and worked later on at the same place for 2 years as an assistant doing research in the field of stochastic processes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He studied then Medicine at Innsbruck University and was trained there as a dermatologist, under the supervision of Professor Peter Fritsch.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He has been Secretary and later on President of the European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry, is a member of the Board of the Italian Society for Psychosomatic Dermatology and cofounder and vice-president of the International Society for Biopsychosocial Medicine.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He has been member of the editorial board of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Giornale Italiano di Dermatologia e Venereologia<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. He is currently section editor for Psychodermatology of the journal Acta Dermatovenereologica.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His interests reside in the domains of psychodermatology, social aspects of dermatology, dermatoepidemiology and medical humanities.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He has participated, as an invited speaker, to more than 100 national and international scientific congresses and meetings in Italy, Austria and in other countries.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After attending in New York two workshops organized by Rita Charon (Columbia University) on Narrative Medicine (both ground level and advanced), he organized, in Venice in 2009, the XIII Congress of the European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry, and as a satellite event to this congress, with the team of Rita Charon, the first workshop in Narrative Medicine in Italy.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2014, in Geneva, he took part as an invited speaker to a side event of the WHO, dedicated to Psoriasis.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In June 2015 he has been awarded the Herman Musaph Prize for Psychodermatology and in July he has attended, as an invited speaker, the World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver. In September 2015, he has received the academic title of \u201cPrivatdozent\u201d (\u201cadjunct professor\u201d \u2013 \u201clibera docenza\u201d) from the Medical University of Graz (Austria).<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He is currently a lecturer for residents (\u201cprofessore a contratto\u201d) in Dermatology at the Padua University Medical School and regularly lectures also at the Medical University of Graz on doctor &#8211; patient communication as well as on dermatological subjects, with a focus on psychological aspects of skin diseases.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He has been Visiting Professor at Sassari University and \u2013 over a period of several years &#8211; lecturer at the Universit\u00e9 Paris Descartes on Medical Humanities within a course on Narrative Medicine organized by Prof. Fran\u00e7ois Goupy.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He runs a dermatological a private practice in Venice and he currently pursues a research project at Oslo University about mathematical life course modelling in chronic skin diseases.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A complete list of the peer- reviewed publications can be found on <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.linderma.eu\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">www.linderma.eu<\/span><\/a><\/li><\/ul><h2>Publications<\/h2><ul><li>In 2013 he has edited, together with Alexa Kimball (Harvard), a volume for Karger Publishers (Basel) on \u201cCumulative Life Course Impairment in Dermatology\u201d.\u00a0<\/li><li>He has authored or co-authored about 70 publications (articles in peer-reviewed journals or book chapters in scientific textbooks).\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-09829c2\" data-id=\"09829c2\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7b32d27 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"7b32d27\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/eulaps.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/member-4.png\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Dennis Linder ITALY &#8211; AUSTRIA Priv.
